The other day I got an email asking me to add a link on my site to promote another site. The site in question is site where law enforcement officers can research police gear. At first I thought it was a spam email, so I replied back to ask if they were serious and of course he said yeah!
Now I am a big supporter of law enforcement. A lot of my good friends are cops, deputies or Feds. These relationships were built at work,it goes with the nature of my job, but do I want to advertise? I mean, this is not about compensation or anything like, and I think it is flattering that I was asked (although I am sure there were a lot of emails that went out), but I am not sure. Thoughts??
Like I always say: get in while the getting in is good. Or did I mean buy low, sell high? Either way, strike while the iron is hot.
ReplyDeleteI've debated about putting adwords on my blog, not really for the money, just for the sake of knowing that there is actual traffic on the page (not that sitemeter can't already provide that).
I'd say, if it is someone you know/trust or for a reputable site, go for it. Even if you dont make bank, you should still increase your traffic, right?
It's not like you can't take it down if you want to.
