Is it Time...

I wonder if it is time to start this blog again? I mean, do people still read blogs now that Instagram and Snapchat are so popular? Time will tell I guess. I even thought about changing the title of this blog since I m no longer racing, however, I am still training. I have really gotten into being in the weight room lately.

I Know What I Know!

I am ready.

Physically.

Mentally.

I want to race. I want to see where I am as I prep for Redman. This race will be a good gauge for my fitness levels. I am no stranger to the Memphis in May venue, as this is the 6th time I have done this race I think, and it will be the 3rd time it has been at this venue, so I know what to expect.

I know what to expect at the expo.
I know what to expect with the hotel room.
I know what to expect with the meal we will eat the night before.
I know what to expect for the line up to the swim.
I know where the majority of the contact will happen on the swim.
I know that I will most likely have a headwind for the first half of the bike and a tailwind coming back.
I know I will want to walk on part of the run at some point.

I know the run will have zero shade.
I know that coming around the hotel means the finish is right there.

I know it will be so great to take a shower after the race.
I know my family will love chilling at the pool while I race.

This is what I know. I know it is going to be fun.

Can't wait.

Puke90X

Yes, it is exactly what you think it is.

Last night, my wife and I were doing our week 11 Chest and Back P90X workout. Since it is getting to the end, and we now know what we are doing, we can really go to the limits, or to put it in P90X terms, Bring It! Consider it Brought!

This workout consists of nothing but pushups and pull-ups for an hour. It is tough. Now I know what you are saying, any workout is as tough as you make it. I will give you that one, but this workout was intense because I brought it. I surpassed all my previous numbers (reps) and I was going hard.

After the last dive-bombers (which I hate, but also love at the same time), I always tell my wife that I feel a little queasy after this one workout (which is a good thing). This night, I went to a new level. This wasn't like a massive throw up type of intense workout, but it was the first time in a long time that I have thrown up after a workout. This let me know that I did indeed bring it.

Now my wife thinks it is weird for me to be proud of this, but I think a lot of you dudes will understand. It was a proud moment for me.
