My Official Announcement...

Thank you all for coming by my blog and tuning in to my official announcement today. It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce on behalf of my family, that with careful consideration and lengthy conversations with my wife, we (I say we because I know I would not be able to accomplish this without the love and support of my wife and family) have come to an agreement on a decision that I have been mulling over for quite some time. This decision is not one that comes easy, in fact, it comes with some trepidation. There have been lengthy discussions, not only with myself, but with others who I hold their opinions important to me. I have prayed about this, researched this and come to a conclusion that it is the proper time.

There were several factors involved in me making this decision that I am about to share with you through this blog. I would prefer to speak to each one of you individually, since it seems like we have been on this wonderful journey of my life together for the past couple of years. Many of you have read of my successes and many of my failures, many have read about my family, and many have read my endless rambles that made no sense to many of you. I have tried to be honest and true to myself while writing and especially when documenting my training and racing, I think you the readers are owed that much.

I have really worked on how I wanted to share this news with everyone! I thought about a one sentence post, make like a statement, but then I wrote this long elegant post about it, which had to be edited and edited a lot. I also thought about just putting a picture on the post, cause I am sure you would all know what I meant the moment you saw the picture, so I decided not to go that way and try to build up some excitement.

So anyways, let me get back to the reason I wrote this post and asked you all to join me. It is with great excitement and a little bit of fear, and even some surprise that I am typing this. I am excited to take this next step, this next journey in my life, or for lack of a better term, the next challenge in my life. It is with fear that I wonder if I am capable of doing this and surprise that I am even talking about it and sharing. It will be an epic event for me. Now, I know that we throw around the word epic a lot in our society, and by the mere overuse of the word epic, it can sometimes make things not as epic as they could be, but trust me, this will be an epic event for me and my family, and one I am certainly looking forward too!
