Yesterday I got it handed to me...

I think I handed it to myself!

I was worn out last night. I was in bed asleep by 10:10PM. I ran early in the morning yesterday and then decided to go to Master's class that same day. It was a test for me physically.

I woke up at 5:25 AM and got dressed and then decided to run to the gym. The run to the gym is about 1.25 miles and I figured it would serve as a good warm up. Iwanted to hit the gym to run because I wanted to work on some set speeds fr my runs. I did 3 miles on the dreadmill. I did an 8:30 minute mile, a 8:04 minute mile and a 7:53 minute mile. I felt really good afterwards. It is my goal to keep gaining and maintaining speed. I had another 1.25 mile run home, so total mileage was 5.5 in around 45 minutes total (one bathroom stop before I left) I only timed total running time, so...

So later that day I was feeling pretty good, feeling strong and feeling the whole workout thing, that I decided to pack a bag and go to my Master's Swim Class. Big mistake on my part. I did not finish the class due to cramping in my calves. I really can't tell if I am getting any faster, because everyone else seems to be getting faster as well. My split times are down to around 1:36/100, which is good for me , but I am still one of the last to hit the wall. I need some new people to join the class! Slower new people! Here is yesterday's workout:

3 x 300 @ 6:00-5:55-5:50
3 x 100 fins no kickboard in streamline @ 2:00-1:50-1:40 (TOUGH)
8 x 50 @ 1:00 using pull and paddles (sore arms after push-ups night before)
1 x 200 @ 3:30
2 x 100
3 x 50
4 x 25 @ :30 (and this is when the cramps hit)
2,250 yards- was a tough swim for me

Tomorrow I am planning a 40 mile bike ride OUTSIDE!

This is a picture of the bike I think I want. In all honesty, I would be totally scared to be on this bike and take it outside. It looks like Batman's bike to me. It is my goal to up my biking mileage drastically over the next 6 months. Many of you have either commented or agreed that the longer tris are all about the bike. So, I best be figuring out my nutrition on my bike and how to keep my butt from hurting. Also I have been getting some pains in the wrists and I am thinking it may have something to do with the biking and push ups (still going strong on the challenge, my goal is to be able to do 125 straight).

While Thursday was a tough day for me, it showed me that I still have a lot of work to do before Sept, but I am up for the challenge!

  2. *DROOL!!!!*

To be able to rock that bike, first, you sure better be a stud on the bike, you dont want to passed on something like that.

I would love that bike, needs a real saddle, dump the single speed, looks like a 21. Toss on Durace rear, 25/11 cassette. Zipp auto return front levers. OOOOOHHHH!!! I cold make that bike something you would sleep with .

  5. 1:36/100 is not slow my man. That is really fast for us triathletes!!!

That really does look like Batman's bike. Is it autographed by Bruce Wayne? Maybe Christian Bale?

    Quite sexy!
