Yeah, it's a shame I have to run by that path every morning!!
(sarcasm inserted)
Anyways, I got to the gym and hit the freadmill. I hate the fdreadmill, but I wanted to work on some speed stuff and for me it is easier doing it this way. I did a 3 mile run with speed work. The first 1/2 mile I ran at an 8:45 pace and the second 1/2mile I ran at a 7:30 pace, I repeated this for all 3 miles of the run.
After that three miles, I then ran back home. Total of 5.5 miles in the morning and I felt great. I started doing this speed type workouts a while agao and really saw the results in the Dash N Splah, I had a much faster mile than I imagined I could sustain. It does give me hope thst I am speeding up!
i like to call those really good morning run, Zen runs. Way to hang in there even if on the dreadmill. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi James,
ReplyDeleteWow, you get to run by that Lake or pond every morning!?! I am a little jealous....that looks so beautiful:) I love watching the ducks and other animals that I come across. Nice work on your run and speed workouts! Cheers to getting faster!
