Spring Break 08

Well, for all of you (the 2 that might read this) that wonder why I was not posting, it was because I was in Colorado skiing with my family. We went to Keystone for a week of skiing.

The trip was a lot of fun, the weather was great, the snow was perfect and no one got hurt! Both the boys went to ski school for a day to start the week. My oldest picked it up like a champ and was soon skiing with me and Em. My youngest did pick up skiing soon, he was just not in a real hurry, and he was more concerned about "hot tub" time. What can I say; the boy knows how to vacation. When we were getting him ready for ski school, a female ski instructor came up to us to take the boys back to school, and the youngest looks right at her and says "I have a hot tub at my condo!" PLAYA PLAYA!!

Anyways we had a great time.....until......the flight home.

NWA sucks. Let me just say it and get it out of the way. We checked 4 bags and 2 car seats in at the Denver airport (4 bags, 2 car seats important piece of the story) We board our plane take our seats and listen to 3 infants take turns screaming the duration of the flight. The entire flight!!! So we finally land in Memphis and then they (NWA) cannot get the jet way to reach the plane, so we wait on the plane for at least 20 minutes, now all the kids are laughing and happy, which seems to piss me off more for some reason. So the geniuses at NWA finally get the jet way fixed and we are off the plane headed to baggage claim for our 4 bags and 2 car seats (told this was an important part of the story)

It takes at least 30 minutes for the first piece of luggage to come out. We wait patiently. We start grabbing our bags as they come out and form a nice little bag pile out of the way. So I begin the bag count...1, 2, 3, and 2 car seats. But no more bags are coming off the thingy!

Long story short, NWA lost a bag of ours between Denver and Memphis (direct flight). They have no records of it anywhere, hard to believe. I have never lost a bag while traveling before. So I refuse to let that ruin our great trip. Now time to start planning our summer vacation!

  1. It could be worse... what if they had lost the carseat?

They don't sell those in the airport gift shop :)

Glad you guys had a great trip and made it home safely.

I bet you have more than two readers... if you are interested go to sitemeter.com and you can sign up to find out. I think google has one too but you would have to ask Matt about that one.
