I Tried to Tell You...

I did.

I remember saying it, over and over and over. Go here to see for yourself!

In 2012, I am Bringing it!!!

This morning, I surpassed all of 2011's swim totals and it is only June. In 2011, I swam 84,992 yards or roughly 48.29 miles. After my morning swim, I have reached 85,695 yards swam in 2012. That is 48.69 miles.  And I still have more to go.

This is one of the places where I BRING IT...
Consider it brought...
Consider that this is just the beginning...

Also you might be interested in knowing that by next week, my 2011 bike totals will go down as well.

BROUGHT!

Is it any wonder I am seeing better times in my swim and bike???  I thinks it says that I am Bringing on the bike as well!  I am on pace to crush all my training volume from last year and I am seeing the benefit of swimming/biking/riding more. Funny how that works huh?

Also , I have not missed an early morning workout since I started my HIM plan either. That certainly sounds like someone is bringing it, does it not???

My focus is pinpoint accurate.  This bell has been rung, this train is movin down the tracks, full steam ahead! My diet has changed, my workouts have changed and my attitudes have changed since I started bringing it. You know what has changed since I first started to Bring IT?  My race times! Yeah, I have already like 5 PR's this year. Go ahead, look at my race schedule page and you will see a theme, a trend, A new PR theme and you see that new theme because why??? That's right, I'm Bringing it!

So let me ask you this. Are you bringing it on your workouts?? Are you fearing the hat???

Fear The Hat?? Wait, what?

A motto, a creed, a mantra, a war cry. I know alot of us do not put a lot of credance  creditibility  value into these things. Just do it! Run like an Animal! No Pain No Gain!  Those are some mottos that come to mind when I think about athletic activity. Sometimes they work for people and I know we all have things we say to ourselves to get us through that tough workout, Sometimes it can be as simple as letters (HTFU), and sometimes we yell or call ourselves names! We train alone, so sometimes all we have to motivate ourselves is ourselves. We have no pregame pep talks. I love a good pregame pep talk too, and I will never shy away from a pep talk before the big game (not the Ray Lewis kind though, those seem kind of stupid) especially one like this:

So I am coming up with my own motivator. Not really coming up with it per se, I guess you could say I am stealing it. In 2012, I am stealing the tagline of the most elctricifying man in sports entertainment. This guy is the the master of lip smackin motivation, of telling it like it is, So shut your mouth and know your role!
I am talking about none other than the jabroni beating, pie eating, trail blazing, eye brow raising, the best in the present, future and past, and if ya’ll don’t like me you can kiss the people’s ***!" The Rock and his motto of I Bring It!  Which leads me back to the true purpose of this post! Fearing the Hat!

On Christmas morning, Jford woke up all sleepy and then Jford made it down stairs to Jford's Christmas tree and saw all the presents that Santa Claus had left for Jford and the family. Under that Christmas tree was package with Jford's name on it. Jford opened that package like only Jford can. Jford got an "I Bring It" hat from Santa Cluas. Now Santa Claus knew that Jford was going to have an epic 2012. Santa Claus knew that Jford was going to smash all Jford's old times from 2011. The fat man in the red suit knew...that Jford was going to be running harder than ever before, that Jford will be hitting the pool with a new attitude and that Jford's rides will be laying the smacketh down! Santa Claus knew that Jford was going to take all those old race times and take them down to Know Your Role Boulevard which is on the corner of Jabroni Drive and check them directly into the Smackdown Hotel!"

And why do you think this hat is going to springboard Jford's training? "It doesn;t matter what you think!" When Jford is wearing my new hat that Santa Claus brought me, I will not be thinking about how good I make this hat look. No.  I won't be thinking about how many people are jealous that I have such cool hat! No, all I will be thinking is "AM BRINGING IT?" That's the mindset I will have in 2012. After every workout, after every race, I will be able to say "I BROUGHT IT" So Yeah, I'd fear the hat!

My Hat!

If you can Smell...what the Rock...is... Cookin!
